The Eiffel scholarship: an excellent funding opportunity
Every year, international students enrolled in HEC Paris pre-experience masters programs benefit from the Eiffel scholarship scheme. This year, the application deadline is set for 9th December 2015.
Applying to HEC Paris during the first admissions session brings several advantages, in particular, students are therefore eligible to apply for the Ministry of Foreign Affair’s Eiffel scholarship. Students admitted in the first admissions session (fall) have until 9th December to send off their scholarship application files.
This funding is extremely helpful for students who, as a result, are given the best possible start at HEC Paris.
Read the testimonials of 2 of last year’s laureates who come from Russia and China. These students attest to the importance of this funding in the pursuit of their further education and the numerous benefits it has offered them.

I was more than excited to find out that I had been selected for the Eiffel Scholarship program. It provides not only financial help, which is a huge relief for my family, but also support in applying for a visa and travelling from my home country to Paris. More importantly, it is a great recognition of my academic achievements and a great encouragement to succeed in my studies in France.
I think that the scholarship jury prefers applications that convey the candidate’s personality and passion, so it is important to emphasize what makes you unique, how you value yourself and your achievement, what motivates you to study in France and how that fits in your professional goals in the future.
In my application, I focused on how I represented my home university and country in my international exchange experience, my passion about promoting sign language and deaf culture and how these experiences relate to my goals in France and in the future. I believe these detailed descriptions in a well-organized structure might be what impressed the jury and the reason that I was selected.

Being awarded the Eiffel Scholarship is, undoubtedly, an honor. First of all, it shows that the country where you are planning to study is genuinely interested in your success. Secondly, the scholarship provides significant financial support throughout the year. Moreover, the Eiffel Scholarship includes many other small but extremely important benefits such as assistance with social security, housing, as well as activities to facilitate cultural immersion if France.
One aspect of this scholarship that makes it challenging for prospective applicants is that the deadline is very early in the academic year and oftentimes students still have not yet started applying for Masters’ programs. Therefore, it is critical for the prospective applicants to be aware of the opportunity to benefit from the Eiffel Scholarship in time to apply.
In order to be on time for the Eiffel Scholarship application, you should apply for Masters Programs in France during the first wave of applications (early Fall). When you apply, mention to your contact in the university that you would like to apply for the Eiffel Scholarship as well.
You should definitely take this opportunity – it is worth it!
