HEC Paris joins Station F, the world’s biggest startup campus
On December 5th at TechCrunch Disrupt London 2016, Station F Director Roxanne Varza has revealed the names of the first members of the world’s largest startup campus. These include VCs, Internet giant Facebook and HEC Paris Incubator, all of whom are top international players in this unique ecosystem of entrepreneurs. Based in Paris and known as la Halle Freyssinet, this campus will gather over 1000 startups in a 34 000m2 space.
The 34,000m2 campus is located in a historical monument, a former train station built in 1929 by famous French engineer Eugène Freyssinet. Renovated by award-winning French architects Wilmotte & Associés, this dedicated space is designed for collaboration and innovation.
Some of the first members of STATION F will include:
- Facebook, whose presence at STATION F will be confirmed in detail in 2017;
- vente-privee, which will launch its first-ever startup program on-site;
- Top VC companies like Daphni, Ventech and Kima Ventures will have offices on-site; and
- US-based TechShop Ateliers Leroy Merlin will operate the on-campus prototyping lab
- HEC Paris’ Incubator will make its new home at STATION F
"HEC Paris joins Station F because we believe that, by combining forces within the startup ecosystem, and leveraging the full power of the HEC Paris brand and international community, we will strengthen projects launched at Station F, thus creating value and impact for the world", says Dean Peter Todd.
The HEC Paris Incubator, part of the Entrepreneurship Center, is a multisector start-up support program based on 3 pillars: An “à la carte” program, a participative community and a knowledge factory. We mobilize the whole HEC ecosystem around entrepreneurs to accelerate their development.
