CLASS OF 2018 COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY
On Friday June 15, Master's students donned their robes and hats and gathered outside the Hall d’Honneur ready to begin the commencement ceremony.
As the ceremony began, they filed into the huge marquee erected specially for the occasion, filling the first rows of the audience in front of family and friends.
The audience alone consisted of people from over one hundred different countries, speaking sixty different languages, all united to celebrate the success of the many graduating HEC students.
Several influential guest speakers, including President of the Michelin group, Jean-Dominique Sénard, imparted words of wisdom to the Class of 2018 along with encouragement and congratulations. Two of this year’s students, Dominik Campanella and Pauline Laravoire, also shared their experiences at HEC and invited peers to join them in embracing the new challenges ahead.
The Pierre Vernimmen BNP Paribas award was presented by Alain Papiasse, Deputy Director General at BNP Paribas, and Jacques Olivier, Dean of the Faculty and of Research.
The ceremony rounded off with the traditional annual graduation movie, this year with a Harry Potter theme! You can watch it here.
