4 master in management alumni make the 2018 forbes 30 under 30 list
4 HEC Alumni students have been chosen for the Forbes 30 Under 30 list, published this week, after a screening process of thousands of applications.
HEC Master in Management Grande Ecole alumni Julia Bijaoui, Bartosz Jakubowski, Anaïs Barut and Jonathan Userovici have been named in the Forbes 30 Under 30 list this week, a selection of the brightest and most innovative young entrepreneurs across Europe. Forbes reporters vetted thousands of nominations and polled expert judges to compile the list, meaning that each and every member is a leader in their field.
The first alumni on the list, Julia Bijaoui (Class of 2012), co-founder of Frichti is on the list for her contribution to the retail and commerce industry. Her Paris-based start-up aims to be ‘your second kitchen’, dealing with all areas of the food industry, from cooking to deliveries. To date, Frichti has raised €43 million.
Bartosz Jakubowski (Class of 2014), the venture lead for EQT Ventures, is another HEC alumni featured in the list for his work in the financial domain. EQT Ventures is a new $650 million European Venture Capital fund backing some of the most ambitious founders in software and consumer technology. Bartosz Jakubowski is in charge of sourcing, analysing and executing investments in start-ups and scale-ups.
Anais Barut (Class of 2016), co-founder of DAMAE Medical, and on the list for her contribution to science and healthcare has had substantial financial backing, including €2 million in 2017. This has enabled the company to increase their research into the development of early skin cancer detection techniques. The company itself is worth around €10 million and won a plethora of awards, including the French Innovation Commission in 2014, as the winners of the Individualized Medicine category of the Worldwide Innovation Challenge. The company itself ‘bridges the gap between the worlds of physics and medicine.’
Lastly, Jonathan Userovici (Class of 2016), a venture capital investor at Idinvest Partners, has been named in the finance field of the list. Idinvest is a leading venture capital firm, with approximately 150 million euros invested annually in Series A & B rounds all over Europe. Jonathan’s focus is on investments in the U.K. (Secret Escapes and Onfido), Spain (Ontruck) and France (Cardiologs).
