Marketing student compete for the l'oréal next billion challenge 2017
HEC Paris students get the chance to showcase their creativity with L’Oréal’s iconic brands
The 24th edition of the Next Billion Challenge invited students from the Master in Management –Marketing specialization and MSc in Marketing to invent new services or usages to transform the business model of two brands of the group’s portfolio: YSL and Kiehl. After one week of intensive work, the best team projects had the chance to pitch in front of a prestigious jury made up of executive directors from L’Oréal and HEC Paris’ managing staff and professors.
The winning team was composed of Nadia Idttable, Guillaume Ventura, Xuan Truong Ha, Cansu Zyrek and Ilona Droniuk. The team convinced the jury with their presentation focused on millennials as the target consumer for Yves Saint Laurent Beauty products.
Guillaume Ventura, student from the Master in Management - Marketing specialization, shares his enthusiasm for the challenge. “I really enjoyed the opportunity to work on current business issues for a leading group such as L’Oréal. The challenge was very exciting and we really unleashed our creativity to find compelling solutions. As an aspiring marketer, this was a real challenge to pitch in front of L’Oréal France’s top management and to be faced with real-life tasks. For a week, we got a genuine taste of what it would be like to be a junior project manager, and what our close future could be made of!”
